The story begins in 1945, just after the end of World War II, when master ice cream maker Cyriel Missault fulfills his childhood dream: starting his own ice cream workshop in Bruges. While designing and crafting delicious ice cream creations, Cyriel quickly draws inspiration from the working methods of the famous fashion couturiers of his time.
Cyriel Missault sketched creation after creation, experimenting with flavours and colours. In no time, his “couture de glace” became a household name in Bruges and beyond. Now, nearly 80 years later, we’re still happy to stand out in the cold for our customers — a figure of speech that, in our case, you can take quite literally.
